9-11 Picture

September 11th was one of the darkest days in American History. I think a lot of people can remember exactly where they were on that dark day. No one will ever forget the disturbing image of the planes crashing into the buildings, or when the towers collapsed, or the devistated people running from the debris. Even though the terrorist attacks left created such a devistating day in our history, some good did come out of the attacks. For example, the economy took off. Because of all of the supplies needed to clean and repair the buildings, the economy thrived. Secondly, homeland security became a top priority. The airports, bus stations, concerts, places with thousands of people, are much safer and more secure so we can try to prevent another tragedy from happening. One of the biggest benefits you can visibly see is how the citizens of this country came together and bonded for a common cause. We all worked together to make New York City and all of the other crash sites like new again. September 11th left a huge hole in our hearts. However, from all of the problems, conflicts, and hurt it left, it allowed the United States to grow in numerous ways. It allowed us to grow in ways we didn't know we could.
